Y’all remember Sloane Taylor, right? She writes elegant, spicy romances that feature feisty American women and very sexy European men? I may have gushed about her style before. It’s hard to keep up with all my gushing nowadays (feminine hormones and such).

Anyhow, she’s got a new book out today and it’s the start of a series. Because she’s a nice lady (I know this personally) and very, very patient, she’s kindly answered the same six questions I always ask.
Here we go!
WHO are your main characters?
Chicagoan Teddi Howard is the owner of a struggling travel agency. She’s a quiet woman until pushed too far, then she’s hell in high heels.
David Stiefel is a staunch German businessman and a confirmed bachelor. That is until he meets Teddi.
WHAT tropes do you utilize in the story?
The closest one I can think of is lust at first sight. Of course, being that I’m a true romantic the story does turn to love, but after a lot of lusting. ☺
WHEN is the story set and how long does it take to resolve?
Heated Negotiations takes place during the fall of 2012 with Teddi and David finding true happiness in just seven short weeks. They’re not together all that time. There’s several weeks where business and pigheadedness interfere, but our strong couple manage to overcome all their obstacles.
WHERE is the story set and why’d you choose that setting?
Heated Negotiations is set in Munich, Germany. To me there’s a magic to Munich and the surrounding area that won’t let go of me. I’ve been fortunate to visit several times. It always seems like I’m returning home.
WHY did you write this story?
Therapy! The darn story wouldn’t let me alone. These pictures constantly flashed in my mind, day and night. It was like watching an old black and white movie. I thought I was losing it. It seemed the only way to prove sanity hadn’t totally deserted me was to write down everything. Pages and pages later, I had a book! Little did I realize Heated Negotiations would be the first in a four book series.
About Heated Negotiations
Mergers and negotiations are not just for the boardroom, especially when things heat up high over the Atlantic.
Travel agency owner Teddi Howard is Hell in high heels when she jumps a plane to Munich. Her goal—strangle the German tour operator who reneged on their exclusive contract.
German businessman David Stiefel well knows the feeling of being screwed over and is resolved to avoid emotional attachments. This strategy has served him well, until his chance encounter with the enticing Ms. Howard.
From Heated Negotiations
David Stiefel’s eyes kept track of the copper-haired female while he rolled up the sleeves of his striped shirt. The woman was oblivious to the stir she created as she strolled through the crowded O’Hare Airport Business Class Lounge. He stroked an index finger over his lips and studied her sleek figure in form fitting slacks. The appealing rear view too good to miss. The pleasure of not seeing a panty line forced him to shift in his chair to adjust for the sudden pull in his jeans.
She bent over, hung her jacket across the chair back, and glanced over her shoulder at him. Their gaze held as a smile tweaked the corner of his mouth. He crumpled the wrappings from his beef sandwich and knew he’d just been offered dessert. Now all he had to do was make his move.
As his good luck would have it, right there on the floor just a few meters away was an airline ticket dropped by some unsuspecting person. He knew that delicious-looking woman had done it as a ploy to meet him.
He stood and paced off the few steps, never taking his eyes from her. He stooped, scooped up the packet, and walked the few extra feet before he glanced at the name printed in bold marker across the front. When he held it toward her, she fumbled with her purse and carry-on as if she did not know she had lost such an important set of documents. Very cool.
Standing in front of her, he leaned down just enough to catch her scent. A fragrance that reminded him of herbs.

Late to the party, but I’m all on board for this one. I love a good spicy business deal or three.
Sloane is one of my fave authors. I think it’s the lust that gets me.
Thank you, Melissa. Lust works every time. lol
I love the cover. I have a friend who married a German over a year ago. She was a cynic about finding love after her first marriage, but damn she’s a happily married woman now living in Germany. I don’t know if their sex is this hot, but maybe…. That clinking sound in the background is me counting my pennies to save up for a German vacation. Thanks Sloane, keep the stories hot and coming (pun not intended) and the Wednesday dinner and recipes coming.
I will,Yasmine! Let me know when those pennies add up. We’ll plan a trip together. LOOK OUT GERMANY. lol
Wow Sloane, another excellent tale, cannot wait to dive right in! I so need to hop a plane to Germany.
Thanks for dropping in, Erica, and glad you like the post. Absolutely, hop that plane. A new life is only a flight away.:)
Love it, Sloane. Looking forward to reading it….
Thank, Eleni. Please let me know what you think afterward.
