“The Two of Us”: Out Now in BWEv7
I’m so excited to share that I have a new erotica short out in Volume 7 of Best Women’s Erotica of the Year!
This collection with the theme of surprises, compiled and edited by the amazing Rachel Kramer Bussel, has been a year in the making, and it’s been fun having a finger on the pulse every step of the way, from seeing the table of contents, getting the first peek of the cover, having that early proof arrive in my inbox (with EVERY story in it), and now being able to listen to all the stories in audio format.
My story, “The Two of Us,” centers a couple feeling their way through a strange marriage of convenience out in middle of nowhere. It’s a short story that goes from “no” to “yes,” “nowhere” to “somewhere,” and “cynicism” to “optimism” in the span of a few pages. It was hard as hell to write, but I’m proud to have accomplished telling a story with a beginning, middle, and end in so few words. Being a storyteller who gravitates towards layered plots, short is definitely a challenge for me.
